Kate Hudson leads the celebrity biking brigade as she brings some pedal power to the streets of London
With the roads chock-a-block with traffic and the people on the Underground crammed together like sardines in a can, Kate Hudson's mode of transport was a wise choice.
The 32-year-old Hollywood actress took in the sounds and sights of the Big Smoke, zipping around on a black bike today.
Kate, who splits her time between London and California, bought a home in North London earlier this year with her fiance, Muse frontman Matt Bellamy.

Last month they celebrated the arrival of their first child together - Bingham - and have now taken him on his first trip to the British capital.
Of course, cycling is becoming quite the trend, with London Mayor Boris Johnson having introduced a fleet of public rental bikes across the city.
Kate's wheels, however, were somewhat more swish than the bulky 'Boris Bikes', as they've been dubbed.

But whatever the location, it seems Kate is not the only celeb foregoing the limousine option in favour of greener way of getting around.
Last month actress Rosario Dawson and Vanessa Hudgens were spotted on separate outings, trundling along the streets of Los Angeles.
And Kirsten Dunst and Katy Perry was sighted in New York last month too, clearly having a wheel-y good time.
